Week 3(Sheku)

I think I speak for everyone when I say that Covid-19 has affected in some way, no matter our age or differences. I struggled to get out of bed and start living my life because COVID's effects were still being felt. When I would meet somebody and shake their hand, I would always wash my hand. I was afraid of going outdoors and doing anything I had to do. Carrie Mae Weems, who created the kitchen table series, was the artist who most moved me. Through my images, I wanted to show the effects of post-Covid and how some things never changed. After meeting people during Covid times, I would almost always get sick. I obtained the trait of extra cleanliness.  Now if I shake somebody’s hand or come in very close contact with a stranger, I will feel like washing my hands. For this week's project, I put together a collection of pictures I shot in a day. I felt it was relatable to people who still felt the effects of Covid after it was over and felt the need for extra caution. It’s not like I felt everyone’s touch was disgusting. I’m just going through an annoying phase that was highly impacted by Covid. It wasn’t easy adapting after Covid, but nonetheless, I did make the effort to try. I just hope we don’t get quarantined again, because I don’t know if I can handle staying in the house all year again

“struggles”

I definitely went through some struggles changing my habots after Covid but my first photo shows my mentor using an electric hand sanitizer. I probably took this shot three times, and I was honestly surprised he said Yes to it.

“Barely know”

We barely know when we are gonna need a portable hand sanitizer. So my second photo shows my mentor (Lewis Spears) struggling to use this portable hand sanitizer. The handle was stuck for a while, but with hard work and perseverance,  we finally got it to work, and I took this captivating image of him.

“To collect photographs is to collect the world.”

I feel like older people can relate to my third image. It shows my mentor(again) using hand wipes for extra caution My last image shows a picture of him washing his hands, and this image took some time also, because I was constantly trying to get a good angle, but I finally got it.
